Entered Italian service in 1991, just in time for the Battle of the Pasta Factory in Somalia (seriously) as part of the ill-fated UNOSOM mission. Continued in Italian service until replaced by Centauro II with 120mm gun and various other improvements. Also exported to Brazil, Spain and Jordan.
