Description: Extremely rare wood engraving published in 1598 in Venice, Italy, on an imam in Constantinople. This extraordinary testimony of costumes in the 16th century is certainly one of the first iconographic representations of religious people in Türkiye. This exceptional engraving is taken from the rare work of Vecellio Cesare published in 1598 in its second edition.
