Description: Imperial Glass Paneled COLONIAL/Chesterfield Bowl We are pleased to offer this lovely crystal serving bowl in the CHESTERFIELD (per Weatherman) pattern #600 manufactured by the Imperial Glass Company, Bellaire, Ohio circa 1914 - the late 1920s. This pattern features a paneled COLONIAL design. It looks very similar to the Fancy Colonial Flute pattern but does not have the beaded ring. It has 24 vertical panels and a 26 point star on the bottom. It measures 8-1/2" in diameter and stands 3" tall. It is marked with the Imperial Iron Cross logo with the Imperial name on the interior bottom. It has a teeny pin point nick on the rim (extremely minor); otherwise it is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. Approval was granted on August 16, 1921. This mark was in use sometime prior to the date of filing the application. The Company ceased using this mark in the late 1920's. NOTE: Although unconfirmed as a possible initial date of usage, Imperial may have combined the registered 'Double I' with a variation of the IMPERIAL letters used in 1913 and registered in 1914.
