Description: * Here we have the Vintage friction drive tinplate Ichiko Taxi in good used condition. * Made in Japan by Ichiko .. trademark can be seen through rear window (photo 7).* There were several versions of this model produced - this is the German market version with the markings on the boot "K-MN-887" with a 'D' in a circle - see photo 8.* This model measures approx: Length 7 inches long and 2.75 inches wide. Approx. weight before packing to post 200g.* The model appears in good used condition ~ rear wheel friction drive - motor appears to be working although not enough power to drive the car; fantastic lithographed interior detail. There are surface scratches, a couple of dents and some tarnishing to the chrome areas.Press down the 'taxi' sign on the roof and the "FREI" sign lowers - press the lever at the drivers window and the "TAXI" sign re-appears - this function is working fine. (photo 6).Please note ~ the wing mirror and rear aerial are missing (photos 6 & 7). Priced with this and the condition taken in to account.* SCARCE MODEL ~ A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION !!
