Description: I. Sorby Woodworking Paring Chisel With Boxwood Handle Sheffield, 1/4 inch wide cut. Overall length 9 1/4 inches. Cutter length 4 inches.Has the I Sorby, Sheffield and Mr. Punch trademark. These trademarks started in 1859 but continued into the 1900's so this chisel is difficult to date. The lower half of the Sheffield mark has been worn off. The handle is a nice, smooth boxwood. This chisel is a pleasure to use. Please see my photos for any condition issues.
