Description: New from Custom Power Brake: I have designed this T6 aluminum master cylinder rotator/adapter to allow you to clock the hydroboost on your firewall mount 90* for greater clearance and this positioning places all the hose ports/fittings away from the engine. The booster side of the rotator is slotted to fit all Ford/GM/Mopar hydroboost bolt centers while the MC side of the rotator will work as an adapter that lets you mount a wide range of master cylinders up to the hydroboost, including some imports with 3.0" bolt spacing. The center hole is 1.91" to fit most master cylinder stubs but measure your's before assuming it will fit. Use of this rotator will require you swap in a longer input rod in the hydroboost. ***Not compatible with the longer accumulators such as used on the '99-'04 Mustang hydroboost unless you want to build your own 1/2" spacer. I have two input rods that can be used (last picture), the shorter one is a match for '05+ GM hydroboost and the shallow dimple GM brake master cylinders. The longer one is a good 3" longer that you can cut down to fit any deeper bore MC and this is the rod that will ship with the rotator/adaptor if you don't write to request the shorter one. The hardness of these custom machined stainless steel rods exceeds OEM hardness. If you aren't clear which rod you need then run your application by me for advice prior to the purchase as I ship immediately. ***Typical booster input rod to MC piston gap is 0.0", some Fords run with 0-0.0150" pre-load, while some OEM Ford hydroboosted MCs had 0.038" pre-load and others had zero. The '03 Chevy 2500 runs about 0.0580" pre-load and some earlier trucks use 0.0650". Check your MC specs prior to shortening the input rod so that you accomplish the same gap or pre-load if required as there is a lot of variance among different master cylinders as far as how to set up the booster input rod adjustment. Some master cylinders will be less tolerant of pre-load due to the location of the compensation ports which could be blocked and lead to brakes that drag. Know the specifcations for the master cylinder you are using. If you've wondered how to fit that Nissan or early Land Rover (non ABS) MC up to your Ford/GM/Mopar hydroboost this is the simple way. This part is compatible with any of my hydroboost listings, some of which would require modifications to the mount for clocking and typically you will need my custom socket in order to remove the mount. If you are buying a hydroboost from me then it's in your interest to order this part with your hydroboost so I can do the rotation for you which saves you effort and the cost of the socket. The first pic is of the part being sold and the six showing the master cylinder and hydroboost are for demonstration purposes only as I'm sure you want to see how things fit up and the amount of clearance you can expect. The 6th pic shown is with the Land Rover master cylinder. The 7th pic is of a 1 1/8" Dodge MC used for a Mopar B-E body hydroboost set-up. This adapter will also work with some versions of the Nissan Patrol that use the 1 1/16" bore MC shown in the 8th pic (It's the same as a Mitsubishi 3000/Dodge Stealth master cylinder and about as short as you can get. Combined with the adapter this MC measures 6 5/8" from the face of the booster shown). The 9th pic is of a 1" bore Izuzu Trooper master cylinder. The 10th pic shows the '92-'00 Dodge Viper 1 1/16" bore MC fit and this arrangement requires slight modifications to the hydroboost piston spring retainer (this particular set up is for the '68 Dodge Monaco C-body but due to the compact length of the MC and adapter at 6.25" this will fit in tight clearance areas where a hydroboost won't normally fit as most master cylinders are 7-8"+). The 11th pic is of a 7/8" bore '84-'85 C4 Corvette master cylinder. For my customer's hydroboost install pics and tech please google CustomPowerBrake Keep watching my listings.... I have more goodies coming;) ***Note, I can adapt other Land Rover ABS style master cylinders as well. The process is slightly more involved and currently there would be a manufacturing wait time but if you are interested just ask. I have an Australian customer running an adapter with the ABS style MC now and adapting the MC keeps you from having to revise/adapt the entire brake line routing where the three or four port master cylinders are used.
