Description: Beautiful serving platter from Homer Laughlin. This is red/white transferware, and is a depiction of the First Steamboat. Part of the Historical America Series. Pieces measure 11 3/4 inches long, and 9 1/2 inches wide. It is pin/red transferware. The center of the platter depicts a steamboat in the river, and an exicited crowd looking on. The piece has a white "piecrust" style rim. Marked on the back as shown and says " Historical America, The First Steamboat, The Clermont 1807, Homer Laughlin China Co., Made in U.S.A." Excellent used condition. I did not see any nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. Expert packing and shipping will be assessed at $15.00 for priority mail shipping within the United States.
