Description: PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY!Hi, this sale is for a new can motor flywheel upgrade kit for the Tyco or Mantua 2-8-2 or 2-8-4 Berkshire steam locomotive. This kit will replace the Pittman or Mantua open frame motors found in the early Mantua or Tyco Mikado 2-8-2 and 2-8-4 locomotives. This motor kit WILL NOT FIT later versions of locomotives that are equipped with the new can motor Mantua Power Drive system. This motor kit can be used to power models with the early power drive system, if you are interested, please contact me. This motor kit WILL NOT fit the Mantua 2-8-2 Camelback, 2-10-0, or other Mantua locomotives. I have can motor flywheel upgrade kits for the Mantua 0-4-0, 0-4-0T, 0-6-0, 0-6-0T, 2-6-2, 4-6-2, 4-6-4, and 2-6-6-2 locomotives. Please see my other auctions. The motor measures 32mm long x 20mm high x 15mm wide, the motor shaft is 2mm in diameter and 6mm long. The flywheel measures 1/2 inch in diameter and is 1/2 inch long, the flywheel shaft is 1 7/8" long and 3/32" in diameter. The motor draws 35ma with no load at 12VDC and develops 8875 rpm. This motor will start turning smoothly on 1 volt DC. The stall current is 900ma, this motor is DCC compatible. This is a very high torque heavy duty motor, with this motor kit installed, your locomotive will have smoother starts, better slow speed operation, and a LOWER TOP SPEED and reduced operating noise. This motor kit utilizes the existing Mantua worm gear from the old motor. PLEASE NOTE! A worm gear IS NOT INCLUDED with the motor kit. This is an unassembled kit.
