Description: History of New London, Connecticut, from the First Survey of the Coast in 1612, to 1852, by Frances Manwaring Caulkins. Published by the author in 1852, this 680 page, brown cloth hardcover contains a detailed history of the New England town, with several black and white illustrations, including a few maps. Good condition. Spine shows wear: chipped spine head, dents along the spinepiece, repaired tears along the spine edges. Board corners are rubbed through. Pencil notations on the back endpaper, and small pencil marks were erased from inside. For some reason, a family name is marked out in the index. Otherwise unmarked, securely bound. Less than average foxing inside for the age of the book, and occasional, small page edge tears. Free shipping in the USA. Thank you for looking! Loc: glass shelves.
