Sometime in the last 50 or 60 years it was rebound in sturdy buckram and is in nice, tight and clean condition with minor wear on the covers. One of the earlier owners wrote a note in the margin of page 1109 on the John Rahm family of Towanda Pennsylvania. (see picture 20 above) There is also a word written in the margin on page 1239. The tissue guard covering a picture is torn on page 45 but it does not affect the picture, and there is a repair on page 301 and 302 where there was a one and a half inch rip and also a half inch tear on page 785 was also repaired. The book is also illustrated with 42 portraits of prominent citizens as well as a full color map of the county as of the 1890's.The first 578 pages covers the history of the county up to 1890 and the rest of the book (742 pages) is devoted to mini biographies of hundreds of the counties inhabitants. This is a great resource for genealogist or anyone researching their family history. A great book for anyone who is interested in the history of Bradford County Pennsylvania.
