Description: If you are looking for a small yet powerful full sized binocular that doesn't weigh much then here is one to consider. A classic German made optic probably from the 1960s that has seen a lot of use but no abuse and still has decades, if not centuries, of life left in them. Some TLC and once a decade or two servicing will keep them going strong long after today's crop of Communist Chinese crap has been tossed out. We cleaned any haze causing film off of Bak-4 prisms and gave them a lube job using NYE damping grease for a lifetime of easy manipulation. Freed up the formerly age welded black plastic eye eye cups should you wish to remove them for the widest possible views. And added a nice fitting set of up-cycled ocular lens caps to help keep dust off those near pristine lenses. Very few, if any, cleaning marks on either the ocular or objective lenses. As is typical of the breed these came with dried out vinyl covering on the chassis. The areas that were bare were cleaned and two coats of a high grade oil based truck bed liner paint was used to spiff them up and offer a similar gripping surface as the original pebble grained vinyl. The remaining areas were then covered in a coat of high gloss enamel black paint so as to prevent any more loss of vinyl and make the body a uniform color. No case available.
