The progress made in the automotive industry, especially in the field of tyres, made it possible to develop buses with 50 or more seats. The TN series buses received four-cylinder engines of 58 HP for the TN.4 and six-cylinder engines of 94 HP each for the TN.6 series. The TN.4 were intended to supply the small and medium lines on flat terrain, the TN.6 with their more powerful engine had to handle the long stretches of the suburban area and routes with strong inclinations, such as Montmartre, Ménilmontant or Belleville. Externally, the TN.6A and TN.6C were identical, the only difference was in the wheels. The TN.6A had full rims, while the TN.6C were equipped with removable rims, the so-called artillery rims. The versatility in the use of the TN.6C was famous among bus drivers. In the war, the buses were equipped with a wood gasification system (Imber or Gohin--Panhard). After the war, the most important change of the TN.6 was the cab trim to provide a minimum of comfort during the winter months. From 1960, the "TN" were replaced, the last was withdrawn from circulation in 1969, 38 years after the introduction of the first models.
