Felting needles are barbed needles and measured in gauges (g) the larger the gauge number the thinner the needle and the smaller the barbs.The barbs on the triangular needle are randomly spaced over the lower shaft of the needle, the more barbs and the thicker the needle, the more wool the needle pulls in when stabbing with it.
