This printed circuit board component and the resulting power supply are intended for experienced persons. The completed unit and associated components produce potentially dangerous voltages. Some features: 1. PCB is intended to work with HP-23, A, B, C, and PS-23 Heathkit power supplies 2. Upgraded voltage and current rating of HV and B+ diodes 3. Upgraded capacitor voltage and capacitance ratings 4. All resistors metal oxide rated at 5 watts 5. Option: HV fuse and fuse holder in the HV output 6. Option: Switch for Hi or Lo B+ voltage (can also be set by jumper) 7. Option: To use variable bias voltage used in the earlier HP-23 8. Expected to have better cooling of resistors because of vertical mounting 9. All diodes, capacitors, and resistors are now mounted on the AWA PCB 10. Estimated cost (March 2023) when using high-end, new parts is $50-$60 from a major distributor (NOT including the price of the bare PCB). Lower cost parts can be found by the budget-minded builder. The bare printed circuit board ships with a schematic and representative parts list. AWA does not endorse any particular parts or part dealers.
