Following the sinking of the Battleship Maine in Havana harbor on February 15, 1898, the United States declared war on Spain on April 25, 1898. The war ended on December 10, 1898 with the signing of the Treaty of Paris resulting in Spain losing Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Guam and other islands in its overseas empire. CONDITION: This 120+ year old Item is rated VERY GOOD. Small tear to lower right border repaired with archival tape. No water damage. Very well preserved, crisp bright colors & lines. This large lithograph has one fold from the publisher, this crease has been reinforced in the back with a heavy grade archival tape to increase it strength.
