Description: Hard-To-Find 1976 Star Trek TOS ‘Enterprise Incidents #1’ FanZine Magazine Book - 1st Issue, 1st Printing A Hard-To-Find 1976 Star Trek Enterprise Incidents #1 Fanzine Book, jointly published by two very early sci-fi fandom organizations – The Science Fiction Comic Association & The Star Trek Federation of Fans (the Original S.T.F.F.) One of the first magazines devoted exclusively to Star Trek that had wide Magazine Newsstand Distribution. The Editor, James Van Hise - whose early published works for RBCC rank very high in the world of Fandom, was an integral figure in the formation of these sci fi pop culture associations. Today he is recognized as an important historian in this field of pop culture & has published more than 10 books on these topics. Others involved in this groundbreaking #1 issue: the now famous Illustrator/Artist, Stephen Fabian, was the cover artist and went on to win the Lifetime Achievement World Fantasy Award in 2006 (his TSR Dungeons & Dragons artwork is legendary). Additional artwork was done by Brad Epstein, Paul Gorman, Mike McKenney and RALPH (not sure of their portfolios today – maybe they all went on to be successful & popular??) Also Associate Editors John Ellis, and Michael and Robert Zarrillo. The 40 ppg TOS fanzine includes interviews with Gene Roddenberry, George Takei, James Doohan, Harlan Ellison, Norman Spinrad and John ('Kor") Colicos; a complete pictorial recap of "Amok Time"; a great article on Star Trek Special Effects Models and their interesting creators by John Ellis and James Van Hise; an article “Is The Magic of Star Trek More Than Skin Deep” by Della Hawks; and a pair of cartoons called "Captains Log" by Mike McKenney (who also did the back cover artwork). The 47 year-old Star Trek Fanzine measures 8-1/2” X 11” and is in very clean VG+ to EXC Condition. All pages are intact with no pencil marks, rips, or tears.
