Description: This doll was commissioned by my Mother with a local doll maker in Tampa, Florida. It was made for me and once I stopped displaying it, it was kept in a plastic bin in my smoke free home. It was made in 1981 as a Christmas gift. This 16” doll does not truly resemble Diana, but the wedding gown, veil, bouquet, slip, petticoat, pantaloons and shoes were handcrafted with extreme attention to detail. The bouquet and veil do show their age. The veil and tiara have darkened with age, the bouquet has lost some flowers. The dress is in perfect condition and was made with taffeta and lace, as is the under slip. The petticoat is made with netting and the pantaloons are made with tricot and lace. Included is the souvenir edition of The Spectator Newspaper from Hamilton, Ontario and the book Invitation to a Royal Wedding. Please see photos for details. Thanks for looking!
