When the switch is in the OFF position, and the light string is first plugged into electrical socket or turned on, the ornament "lights up" in several places, and there is SOUND (amusement park music and Santa saying "Ho Ho Ho!". When the ornament's switch is in the ON position, the ornament lights up, the ferris wheel turns, and 2 roller coasters work. The "sound" does not automatically come on each time the switch is in the "on" position. One roller coaster is in a permanent stable position (is not supposed to move). Approx. 3" tall x 4-1/4" long across the front x 3-1/4" deep. Also comes with a miniature Memory Card and Instruction Sheet (see 6th photo). Could be used as a standing ornament or a hanging ornament (note: weight of ornament is 8.0 ounces).
