Description: A fine, vintage, 18K gold and amethyst "Sputnik" bracelet in the style of H. Stern. The bracelet tests 18K and the clasp tests and is stamped. The dome is bezel-set with round amethysts only. It later came to be called "Sputnik" for its resemblance to the spike Soviet satellite launched in 1957. There are no marks other than the 18K on the clasp. The condition is excellent, and it dates c. 1960s. The bracelet has two safety clasps for security.
