Description: Up for auction is a rare professional 1942 H. N. White King Zephyr Special alto saxophone. The pads and corks are in poor to fair condition and this alto sax is not currently in playable condition. This would benefit from new pads, corks and some springs replaced or an overhaul/restoration for optimal performance. This alto saxophone has full pearls, a sterling silver double socket neck and bell/key engraving. There are visible dents throughout the body, bell, bow and neck. This alto sax has scratches throughout from normal use and there is lacquer wear, with approximately 50% of lacquer intact(probably not the original lacquer). The matching body and neck serial number is in the upper 266,xxx range, which dates year of manufacture to approximately 1942. Included is a used wood shell alto sax case(interior is intact with no strong odors, latches catch, handle is intact, exterior has minor wear). No mouthpiece is included. This alto sax is being sold in "as-is" condition and the pictures provided are considered as part of the description. The winning bidder is to pay $85.00 for standard U.
