Description: This is a awesome set of Grey Iron Colonial soldiers. The set includes 2-G1 Colonial soldiers with rifle one has 98% to 99% original paint. The other one has 97% to 98% original 1-G2 Colonial Foot Officer with 97% to 98% original paint. 1-G3a Colonel Color Bearer. This color bearer is the 1950’s version with the rifle barrel drilled out for the flag. THE FLAG IS NOT ORIGINAL. The flag is cloth on a bronze pole. 1-G4 Colonial Mounted Officer with 97% to 98% original painted. Very Rare to find complete set of Colonel soldiers with the rare color bearer figure. These were cast in the 1950’s towards the end of Grey irons toy soldiers making days. Grey iron was sold in 1967 and the name was changed to Donsco inc. later changed to John wright Foundry. I’ve been collecting Dimestore Toy soldiers for more than 45 years. I also make what are called Toy Soldier Conventions. I go by the name of JAGS Toy Conversions.
