Filings are shown sitting in 14k gold acid, high grade gold scattered all through the cut slab in small pockets, but a lot of gold is in the ore a small amount of silver. and platinum. Ore from the late 1700s to early 1800s Ore Knob Copper Mine, Ashe County North Carolina. About one pound in weight. 3 3/16" x 2 3/8" x 3/4" Measurements from the longest points of the oval shape with a curved crust side. Review photos for details which are taken up close for detailed composition of the ore. Comes with a photo packing slip with origin details. I have done further testing on this piece. It is high grade gold 24K, with platinum and some silver. A little over 1 lbs., in weight. Heavy for its size. Super deal with newly added test results photos from the core of this crust cut which can be found currently listed on my E Bay store. As you can see in the new photos all acids up to 22k gold and platinum, silver acids. Silver color and gold colors remain in all acid tests, which indicates high grade gold and platinum with silver. The core of this ore has no magnetic pull and is a sulfide all precious metal ore. This end cut contains a lot of visible gold.
