Description: Gold vein in a quartz ore slab. The vein runs all the way through the slab. Slab measures average between the two available 2-1/4 inches x 2-1/2 inches x 5/8 inch deep at the thinnest point and is thickest in other aeras. Widest vein point is 1/4 inch, each vein goes completely through the slab an about 5/8 inch thick. Each vein is about 1-5/8 inches long. There is a trace of silver in the ore as well. A hint of copper one on the crust area. Unpolished cut slab from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. This listing is for one slab. Two slabs are available, both are shown in the photos. Both are from the same ore. Acid test shown in silver, 14K, 18K, 22K gold and platinum muriatic and nitric combined testing acids. The filings were taken from the edge of both slabs in the vein itself. Has you can see it goes to the high end of the test with very little melting. Some silver combined, the dark areas inside the slab are silver veining. Both are almost identical with a slight difference. The gold vein on one is smaller on one side but it splits into two veins with more on the edge. Price for one slab piece.
