Description: Goerz Dagor 16 1/2 " (420mm) f/7.7 telephoto lens in barrel. Serial #174026. Made in USA by American Optical Co. Early uncoated version. Circa 1930. Covers 11x14, 8x10, 5x7 and 4x5 with movements. Will also cover at least 16x20" format with movements. Front filter diameter is about 72mm and rear filter diameter is about 60mm. Weight is about 2 LB. Lens is about 3 inches long. Require 5x5" or larger lens board. Lens stop range is f/7.7 - f/64. Non coated glass. Lens is in Ex/Ex- or 7/7.5 of 10 cosmetic condition. Clear glass. Non coated lens with some very small "air bubbles" in the front, and rear elements. These will not affect your images. Bubbles in the glass used to be regarded as the sign of a quality lens. No separation. Some small dust spots inside that can be seen with a flashlight only. This will have no affect on your photos. Smooth working aperture blades. Original retaining ring. Will work on 4x5, 5x7, 8x10 and 11x14 field and view cameras, like: Deardorff, Sinar, Cambo, Arca-Swiss, Toyo, Wista, Linhof, Wisner, Zone-VI, Shen-Hao, Ebony and others. Great "telephoto" lens.
