Description: This is a 4 1/2" plastic figure of the ancient Egyptian goddess Heset (Hesat-iat). She is the goddess of food and drink associated with beer and enjoyment. Hesat was an early Egyptian goddess shown as a cow figure carrying a tray of food and milk flowing freely from her udders. Beer was referred to as "the milk of Heset." She was later transformed into the goddess Hathor. She was very important in the city of Heliopolis, Egypt. The figure that I have pictured is from my own collection, so I do not open the package containing the figure I am selling you. Both figures are very similar. What you will receive is the figure in the black package as pictured. There seems to be more value in the figures that are still enclosed in the black package. These figures were manufactured in the United Kingdom.
