Description: Rare clear glass fishing float. Believed to be made by Northwestern Glass in Seattle in the late 1930s or 1940s, though it does not appear to be signed. Unusual shape -- elongated, football-shaped hollow ball with two ridges for ropes. One end has a pontil from glassblowing; the other end has a mold mark. Total length is about 5.25 inches. Glass is in beautiful shape with no chips or cracks. One small round mark (bubble?), less than 1/4 inch in diameter, near one of the rope indentations. The pontil is a bit rough (bubbly glass/not completely clear in color), but does not seem to have any chips. Offers welcome! This float will be double boxed for protection during shipping. Location:E2
