Giant 471 lb. FISHER & NORRIS BLACKSMITH 1873? ANVIL anvil Possibly NOS w Stand

Description: Selling as used, but this 100+ year old anvil might be NOS (New Old Stock).... I cant find any evidence of witness marks (hammer strikes) on the face or horn... if it was used, it was very little and or very gently as you can see from pictures... I put my glasses on to find any soft depressions, dings, edge hits etc and cant find a thing. I rubbed it down w scotch brite pads and oil and cleaned up the paint on the base - there is no paint on the anvil itself- I sprayed some oil on it after cleaning to keep the rust off. There is some staining on the face (Im sure you can clean it off w some metal cleaner or like), and some very small (either) pitting or casting porosity on face as shown- in person it is less than appears in pics, so you wont have any surprises... The anvil is very tight and accurate fitting to base- actually amazing for such a large casting to get square and parallel! There are stamps on the side that say 471 then 73 ... Im guessing this is 471lbs and 1873 dated? I will update if anyone has info on these marks... it weights about 750lbs w the base. This is a monster anvil!! I dont know a lot about anvils, so if there are specific q's - just let me know and I'll be happy to answer to the best of my ability.
