Vintage glass from the 1950's/1960's EraThe glass is decorated with painted black and gold skull and crossbones.Rx symbol on each side and labeled with the known toxin: WOOD-ALCOHOLEmbellished with a banner that reads "Name Your Poison" and a pistol, mortar with pestle, and dagger. The glass has Georges Briard's signature (facsimile) in gold on the front.Dimensions: 4" H x 3" 7/8 WFrom a family members estate, They were used for only display Condition: Overall in Great/Excellent. There is a small chip on the back side area of the rim (We took three pictures of this small chip). Some fading on the Rx logos. No cracks Please inspect the photos in detail before purchase. Not dishwasher safe. This is a vintage item. Some wear is expected considering its age. Georges Briard (1917-2005), born Jakub Brojdo in Russia, was a designer and artist who became very popular throughout the 1950s to 1970s. He designed glassware, dishes, and barware, including ice buckets and trays, that were sold in high-end department stores, such as Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller. His mid-century, atomic, and kitsch designs had very bright colors and make for fun gifts. He worked with wood, metal, ceramic, and glass. He was awarded the Frank S. Child Lifetime Achievement Award by The Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators in 2004.A highly sought-after pattern for the collectors.
