Description: Selling an original 19th Century GEORGE HAY RSA (Royal Scottish Academy) VICTORIAN art painting. George Hay lived from 1831-1912. Dimensions of the canvas only are 16-1/8" x 20". I'm assuming it is oil paint, since the paint looks thick but I am not an expert. Found inside an old house that was being cleaned out. The owners were into art. There is no date on the painting. Just the marking "G. Hay, RSA". the canvas painting looks pretty good - there is one rubbed spot about the size of a pencil eraser (see last photo). Canvas is nailed to the frame.
