Description: Gentlemen, Offered here is this WWII USN Spec M-422A flight jacket. This example was most likely made by Gordon & Ferguson Co. in fiscal year, 1943. The Spec. M-422A became the main intermediate flight jacket for the USN from the beginning to the end of WWII. This jacket belonged to John Bryars, although I have not been able to find any info about his career. This jacket has been period repaired (knits and inside liner) and is fully wearable. The goatskin is supple and soft. The mouton collar has developed that "been there, done that" look. The original Talon zipper works perfectly. “USN” stencil under the collar. Left chest bears a name tag "JOHN BRYARS". No other patches have ever been sewn onto the jacket. As mentioned before, this jacket is a solid wearer or would be great for display. In my opinion this jacket fits like a 40. Make sure to check the measurements. MEASUREMENTS Pit to pit: 22 3/4 Sleeve: 25 Shoulders: 17 1/2 Back length: 25 3/4 Let me know if you have any questions.
