Description: Douglas MacArthur [1880 1964] was an American general and field marshal of the Philippine Army who was appointed Chief of Staff of the United States Army. MacArthur played a major part during World War II in the war against Japan and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippine Campaign. General Douglas MacArthur was one of only five men to rise to the rank of General of the Army. Listed for auction is the autograph of general Douglas MacArthur signed on a page. The autograph is signed ''Douglas MacArthur'' in black fountain pen above his typed name. The page measures 5.50 x 2.25 inches, is in fine condition and was removed from a damaged letter. The letter was dated Aug,14 1963 and will be accompanied with its original transmittal envelope. The autograph is authentic and is a perfect project autograph for use in a display.
