This is from the "emerald" family of jade that has that rich dark green color that looks imperial as well. It consists of rondel beads. This one is made with a heavy duty stretch cord at our shop in North Carolina. BRACELET LENGTH: 7.5 inchesThe beads measure approximately 9.3 x 6mm These beads were made by our friends in Central America, who are paid for each piece they produce. None are hourly workers. We assemble the necklaces and bracelets here in the USA. These jade beads are made from chunks of Guatemalan Jade as was used by the Ancient Maya. It comes from the Motagua River Valley in Guatemala, where it can be found in the ground and stream.All of our jade was taken out by hand. No machinery was used. 10 percent goes to the Casita Copan Children's home!
