Description: FULL 1987 General Foods LOG CABIN MAPLE SYRUP 100th Anniversary Tin, Unopened Click images to enlarge Description 1987 FULL UNOPENED LOG CABIN SYRUP TIN Fun old 100th Anniversary 1887-1987 LOG CABIN SYRUP tin measuring 4-3/4" wide, 3-1/4" deep and 5-1/4" tall. Featuring the iconic log cabin design with red roof, and open door exposing a pot belly stove, tin was issued to commemorate their 100 year anniversary. Tin is full, has never been opened, and is complete with the plastic lift cap with unbroken plastic seal. Condition is good with minor soiling, a few dots of paint wear, patination (not rust) to the metal side trim and old spots of gunk on the underside of the tin from contact with a leaking syrup tin - there is a touch of this on the side bottom edge as well (these areas are not sticky). My fault -- I had two of these stored in the cupboard and one leaked back in the early 1990s - thought I had cleaned it all up, but there is still some hardened residue that I could not remove on the base - does not detract a bit.
