Description: This is a lovely ashtray, which can also be great as a trinket tray, crafted and painted by the company Fukagawa Seiji in the Arita region in Japan. It features coral and blue chrysanthemums, with gold gilding. It measures about 5 1/2" across and is 2 1/2" tall. There are no chips or cracks, and no crazing. I do see some minor signs of use. The Fukagawa Seiji blue mark appears underneath. It appears similar to the mark used in 1900-1920, but based on the lack of any wear, or crazing, I believe this is a more recent version, and I know they are using a similar blue mark in more modern times.
