Description: Franklin Library The World's Best Loved Books, Complete in 100 volumes The books are full leather and have that nice leather smell. No smoke or mildew. These books are in excellent condition overall with some wear. One book (pictured) has a stain on the front cover. Several have white paint residue on the bottom of the covers where they were put back on a shelf before the paint was dry at some point. There are a few bumped corners and some other minor wear as well. There are no bookplates in the books. This is a very difficult set to find assembled. I've dealt in Easton and Franklin books for many years and this is the first complete Best Loved Books set I have owned. They are rarely listed for sale at this reasonable of a price. The gold on the covers looks like new. The end pages show no fading. The gilt on the edge of the pages is in excellent overall condition overall with an occasional scratch here and there and some typical fading of the gilt in this set.
