Description: Frank Hohenberger (1876-1963) was an Honorary Member of the Brown County Art Gallery Association, in Nashville, Brown County, Indiana. This photo print is very rare in that it is still attached to the inside of a Christmas card. These Christmas theme cards with attached signed photos were sold to the tourist trade in the 1940s and 1950s by local artists in Brown County. It is signed at the lower right side and dates to about 1951, when it was bought by my great aunt. It pictures the old covered bridge near Bean Blossom, Indiana. Most Hohenberger signed prints are larger, the christmas card prints he signed were either this size or just 3 1/2 X 5 inches. This is in excellent condition with no creases, the edges are crisp, and with just minor yellowing and very minor curling. The signed Christmas card prints are rare as most were not kept. Especially rare in that it is still attached to the original hand made card that has never been written upon. Satisfaction guaranteed. High bid gets the item shown here.
