This Valve Body does not include the TCM(Transmission Control Module). On model years 2011-2016 there is no need to drop the pan and ID the valve body, but since Ford started using the later version of this valve body midway through 2017, we recommend checking your 2017 valve body before ordering. When it comes to the flow rate/solenoid strategy on these 6R140 builds, 90% of them are plug-and-play, but the original factory tag with the programming strategy is included in case you need it. This valve body is better than OEM, it features many upgrades to increase reliability over the standard OEM valve body. These upgrades include: Updated Pressure Regulator Valve, Updated TCC Regulator Valve, Updated TCC Boost Valve, Updated Forward Clutch Regulator Valve, Updated Forward Clutch Latch, Updated Solenoid Feed Regulator Valve, Updated Converter Limit Valve. We are an authorized Sonnax distributor and can assure you that you cannot purchase a remanufactured valve body for $100.00-200.00, with Sonnax kits installed. Costs are just too high to make that realistic. You can get a remanufactured 4-speed valve body for $200-$300, but when it comes to 5-speed and 6-speed transmissions costs are usually $400-$600 depending on the manufacturer. The new 7 and 8-speed transmissions are even higher. Granted a used part may last you 100,000 miles depending on it's previous use, or it may last you a month, you just don't know. If you are willing to spend $200.00, why not $230.00 or $330.00 for a part that is guaranteed to work? Above you can see where to find the casting number of the Upper Casting and the year stamp. Above you can see the presence of the Cooler Bypass Valve found on the early version of the 6R140. In the picture below you can see the Cooler Bypass Valve Blocked as found in the mid-late 2017 versions of the valve body. You do not need to check for the Cooler Bypass Valve unless you have a 2017 model year. The late version of the valve body was not used until middle-to-late 2017. Above you can see the different separator plates. The upper left pic shows the smooth plate edge found in 2010-2013 versions. The upper right and lower left show the V and C notch found on the plate edge of 2014-2016 versions. The lower right picture shows the double V notched edge of the 2017 and later versions. The Warranty period shall extend for twelve (12) months from the date of sale. Defective or malfunctioning valve body(s) must be returned to World Wide Specialty Parts. All returns must be approved by World Wide Specialty Parts and clearly display the assigned return authorization number (R.A.) on the packaging.
