Description: Vintage Vaseline or Uranium Glass Beads - there are some beads that show age more than others.Five beads in various sizes and shapes. Glass makers, in order to get a brighter color, added a touch of Uranium to glass in the early 1900's. This practice stopped in the 1940s.When exposed to a black light, the beads glow.The level of uranium used was considered safe for wearing.
