Description: This is the original artwork designed by the internationally acclaimed, California automotive Artist – Illustrator, Hector Luis Bergandi, exclusively for the 1993 Worldwide Introduction of the Ferrari 348 Spider. (Not a print. The Original Artwork by Bergandi). The event was held on February 27, 1993 at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. This is a rare opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind, a significant and exclusive piece of Ferrari history. (See Photos). Provenance: My Ad Agency, Hank Forssberg Inc. Advertising, handled the Advertising and Marketing for Ferrari North America from 1977 through 1995. During that 18-year relationship with Ferrari North America and Ferrari S.p.A., I accumulated an extensive collection of hundreds of Ferrari collectibles/memorabilia from Ferrari North America and from the Factory in Maranello. I personally recommended to Ferrari North America Management that they launch the introduction of the 348 Spider in Beverly Hills by closing off Rodeo Drive and having the first ever Ferrari Concours d’Elegance on Rodeo Drive as the highlight of the 1993 348 Spider Introduction. My agency designed and produced all of the marketing and advertising materials for the 348 Spider Introduction including the printing of the Bergandi Poster; Letterhead and Envelopes, Invitations, Event Program, Parking Passes, Windshield ID’s, VIP Wrist Bands, 348 Spider Spec. Sheets, Etc. During my 18-year relationship with Ferrari, I was also the Editor of Rosso Ferrari Magazine. During my tenure, I edited and published 9 Issues from 1990 through 1993 including Issue number 8 – Ferrari Rodeo Drive. As the Editor of Rosso Ferrari Magazine, I commissioned Hector Luis Bergandi, to create vintage Ferrari Car Art Illustrations to be featured in all of the Rosso Ferrari Issues. As a result of my relationship with Mr. Bergandi, I also commissioned him to design a poster for the 1993 Rodeo Drive Introduction of the 348 Spider. This is the original poster artwork. I am in the process of selling my Ferrari memorabilia collection and this original Poster Artwork is from my collection. For the past 45 years or so, I have kept all my Ferrari collectibles in an Archival Storage environment in order to preserve as much of their original condition as possible. The 1993 Ferrari Rodeo Driver 348 Spider artwork is still in excellent condition in spite of being more than 30 years old. As you can see in the photos, there are 3 indentations in the artwork, probably as a result of handling the art during the printing process in 1993. From a distance the indentations are unnoticeable. There is a small paint chip in the upper right side. (See Photos). The photos do not do justice to the artwork. When you view the artwork up close, it is overwhelmingly impressive. The poster Art measures approximately 22 3/8 inches wide x 36 inches deep. The artwork was featured on the cover of the 1993 Spring Edition of Rosso Ferrari Magazine. RF8. In addition to the original artwork, a print of the poster and a copy of RF8 that featured the Bergandi 348 Spider art on the cover are included with the purchase. This 1993 Original Bergandi Ferrari artwork may be the last visual artwork to be rendered solely by a Human Artist.
