I had a conversation with a well informed Facebook member . Here is what he had to say.: I did look. a company called MIRC in Tennessee has partnerships with all of the major brands and gets “broken” guitars from them (even as simple as a ding), repairs them, then slaps the gold sticker on for a new serial, and sells them to other retailers. They don’t rebrand, they simple repair and mark as so with the gold serial. The “used” imprint I mentioned is only on some manufactures guitars depending on the contract that they have with them. So they are definitely refurbed in some way shape or form. Even if it never had an owner before going to MIRC.
