Description: This original 16" x 20" oil painting on panel by Rob Ijbema was completed in the early 2000s. It features Felice Nazzaro driving a Fiat at the French Grand Prix in 1907. The painting has been framed by a gallery and is ready for the home. The frame measures 22" x 26" and is in very good condition with only light wear. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the content and condition of the painting. The 1907 French Grand Prix was held July 2nd on public roads and consisted of 10 laps or 478.4 miles. Felice Nazzaro won the race by over six and a half minutes, Ferenc Szisz and Paul Baras completed the podium. Nazzaro would also win the French Grand Prix in 1922. The artist, Rob Ijbema, was born in Amsterdam in 1961 and currently resides in Wales, United Kingdom. He paints mostly with oils and acrylics in an impressionistic style.
