The cooking surface is beautiful with the circular milling still visible. This will be packed safely. Sits flat on my granite countertop. This is as found condition. HOWEVER, this has been in our collection for many years. When it was first purchased, it was cleaned up and reseasoned. My husband would use either a lye tank or e tank to clean then various oils to reseason. Its been wall hangings ever since. I did wash to get the dust off, then wiped down with oil.
