CNC laser allows smooth edges for very slight sanding. Fast low profile design utilizing a tungsten or lead canopy. Designed be light and structurally sound weighing in under 20 grams. Because of the laser cutting, the body may smell of burn wood. ***This auction does not come with Wheels or AXLES.... We have done the major steps for you! You will still need at least 108 grams of weight to bring the car to proper weight even more with weight reduced wheels. There are no additional weight pockets for this body. Very aggressive COG with this build. We highly suggest racing it on a smooth track. Rail Rider configuration is also suggested. Take note, there is no messing around with this body. Know what you are doing, use sharp bits, drill and build slow. If an axle is tight, run the provided bit through it again. This body does not come with wheels or axles. Due to its thickness, we highly suggest using a bent axle instead of trying to drill a high wheel. Made from an official BSA pine block, Fast Pinewood Derby Ultra Light Car Body conforms to all Cub Scout rules. However pack rules differ from den to den. SOME older lugs are 1/2" in diameter. SO be sure to check or be prepared to drill larger if you have an older canopy that you are reusing. May utilize rear camber axles Wheelbase: Wide Wheel base (11/16" from each end) #44 Drill Bit Included Ultra Light bodies are designed with minimum wood weight in mind. We use simple, proven designs that will get you in the winner’s circle. Since we remove a lot of the strength structure of the wood block, handle these bodies with care. NO HAMMERING ever. Because of this a #44 drill bit provided with each body to ensure easy proper axle install. Made from an official BSA block, know this car is always compliant with national rules.
