Second is by far the Cold Steel Trail Master in 3V. IMHO…. This Fallkniven MB10 Modern Bowie has been seriously customized into a true Combat / Survival Knife. I did all the custom work myself by hand. This is a Master Bowie now! I hand filed the guard out of a solid piece of 6AL/V4 Titanium to perfectly fit the tang. The guard is designed to operate as a blade catcher and the back works as a bottle opener. I made the handle out of a super tough G-10 and it is perfectly fit to the tang. The handle is also fastened on using stainless steel corby bolts and is permanently epoxied using JB Weld Super Epoxy. This knife comes from the factory with only 1 tube holding the handle on. I have drilled thru 2 new holes for the Colby bolts. You will notice that the pommel end of the handle has been shaped into a glass breaking point which has applications in the combat/survival arena as well! This knife has never been used so is listed as new/custom. You will notice some sheath lines perhaps but that’s all. I also made a stainless steel belt loop holder to replace the long leather loop. It will fit a 1 1/2” belt. The steel is Laminated Cobalt Special throughout and is an outstanding choice for a blade like this! Specs Blade Length = 10 inches Blade Thickness = .292 inches Over all Length = 15.1 inches Weight of Knife = 1 Lb 5 3/4 ounces (21.75 ounces). Handle Thickness = .835 inches Handle Length = 4.3 inches ( including the pointed Pommel End = 4.81 inches). Guard is 6AL/4V Titanium I highly recommend watching field tests on the MB10.
