This original watercolor entitled “Apple Blossoms” from the 1920s features a sprig of ephemeral mid-spring flowers set in a blue shaded pot– a most delightful still life! A dainty-thin wooden frame and antique glass enclose this fantastic presentation, which is ready for you to proudly display on your wall!This fantastic piece of Folk Art was painted in Northern Ohio and was shown in two local competitions in 1924! The piece took 1st Prize in Wellington, Ohio, in the “Original” category and 2nd in Elyria for their “Flowers” category. This is documented in pen on the back of the frame.Condition: This artwork is in VERY GOOD condition! The piece is well preserved but does have some general foxing with age. The frame has light wear. This does not greatly detract from the presentation of the piece!
