Description: French Bronze 19th C Figural Urn Lamp signed at the top of urn F Barbedienne Signed by the famous Parisian bronze manufacturer Ferdinand Barbedienne and made circa 1880, this urn/lamp is made out of patinated bronze with brown patina. This stunning Neo-Classic style lamp is carved with low-reliefs depicting scenes Two Dionysus type heads form the handles of these lamps. All original Patinated finish that I have not touched. Out a local estate in Northern California Marked "F. Barbedienne" No missing pieces or parts. The wiring for the lamp has been disconnected by the prior owner. I have not reconnected it. I believe the prior owner used it as an urn. It would be possible to keep items inside this. Measure s 19” including the lamp socket. 6” in diameter, and weighs a heavy 13 pounds. Ferdinand Barbedienne was a French metalworker and manufacturer, who was well known as a bronze founder.
