Description: Great meticulously carved and polychromed carving of a youth in lederhosen and vest with hemp climbing rope. The carving has its original painted surface which only lends more character to the carving. We believe this may have hung from a wall - we are not sure. The face displays extensive detail. There is an area at on the top of one of the fingers that is open and appears to given the owner the option of feeding the rope through this spot.. The carving is signed Meram 1910.
