Description: I just acquired this Vintage MCM 1953 Marimekko "HENNIKA" fabric from an estate in Dallas, Texas. It is 54"(57" wide including selvage edge) wide x 118" long - about 3 1/4 yards, 100% cotton, made in Finland. It was designed by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, who worked for Marimekko from 1953 to 1960. The super wide color block stripes of burgundy, green and gold make it difficult to get the photos I want. Huge repeat of 70 1/4" - burgundy stripe is 28 1/4", gold stripe is 18 1/2" and the green stripe is 23 1/2". Perfect for curtains to showcase the large horizontal stripe pattern, framed textile art or anything you can imagine. This fabric is in excellent, new condition - never used. I removed from the bolt to photograph and list. I actually have a couple more 2 or 3 yard pieces to list in case you are interested in those.
