In addition to the already released 1958 Korina Flying V/Explorer and 1963 Firebird I/V, Gibson's representative models such as the Les Paul Standard, SG Custom, ES-355, and Les Paul Custom will be newly released. In collaboration with Gibson Custom Shop, Epiphone will release the 1959 Les Paul Standard, a beautiful reproduction of a rare vintage classic. The 1959 Les Paul Standard features a mahogany body with a maple top with AAA flame maple veneer, a one-piece mahogany neck with a rounded medium C profile following the 1959 style, and a long neck tenon (deep joint). The headstock features Gibson's original "openbook" headstock shape, and the aged MOP logo, tuners, pickguard, and binding are all vintage-style reproductions. The pickups are Gibson Custombuckers, which are also used in Custom Shop products. In addition, 50s wiring, CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors, Switchcraft selector switch and output jack are also used, boasting a full range of specifications in terms of sound. A vintage-style hardshell case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo is included. The collaboration between Epiphone and Gibson Custom Shop continues to produce unmistakable, familiar, and high-quality guitars.
