Description: It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the National Guard members of EANGUS. I am grateful for our Past Presidents and the Founders and Pioneers of this great organization, who have worked and devoted personal resources to ensure the success of the organization that we enjoy today. To our EANGUS Auxiliary, we are eternally grateful for all of the work and support that you provide to not only EANGUS, but also to our individual Soldiers and Airmen who serve. As you look over the pages of this book, remember that we are part of an institution that traces its roots back to 1636 when the first militia regiments in North America were organized in Mas-sachusetts. For nearly 380 years, the National Guard has played a significant role in maintaining the peace and security in our States, Territories, the District of Columbia, and the Nation. The National Guard is the foundation on which the United States of America was founded, and the members catalogued in this book are a part of that team. Beginning in twenty-three states, EANGUS now represents all 50 States, Guam, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the District of Columbia, and an association comprised of those who serve the National Guard on a National Tour. With a constituency base of approximately 414,000 currently serving Soldiers and Airmen, their families, as well as thousands of retired members, we are headquartered in the DC area with a full-time staff to represent your interests in the Pentagon and on Capitol Hill. The United States military is the finest fighting force the world has ever seen, not because of weapons or tech-nology, but because of spirit, skill, and the devotion of our Soldiers and Airmen. Beyond serving their commu-nities, raising families, and playing a vital role in the workforce, our Soldiers and Airmen find the time throughout the year to train and prepare for the many challenges facing our Nation. As an Association, we were created to support those service members and their families, and we strive to do that every day. This is from a “lot” of books donated to our Friends of Spanish Peaks Library District for our quarterly book sale. This book is in like new condition. Proceeds go to our children’s summer programs, adult special programs and staff development. Thanks for looking. I’ll be happy to combine shipping please ask!
